That Infrared Inspections are a standalone inspection and are not to be confused with a regular Pre Purchase home Inspection . Infrared Inspection and Home Inspection can be combined but it will take up to 48 hrs to generate the report and at an additional cost .

Missing Insulation

The picture on the left is of an out side wall taken with a normal digital camera
The picture on the right was taken with an Infrared Thermal Imaging camera. The dark blue indicates that there is insulation missing.

The picture on the left is of the living room ceiling, the picture next to is at the same location but taken with an Infrared Thermal Imaging camera. If you look left of the center spot you will see the pot light. The black areas indicate that there is insulation missing beside and below the pot light.
Moisture Damage

This picture is of a bay window in the master bedroom the picture on the left was taken with a digital camera and right was taken with an Infrared Thermal Imaging camera. The black and dark blue area indicates moisture problems.
Air Leakage

This picture is of the back door the Infrared image shows all the dark areas were the cold air is getting into the house. This door needs new weather stripping
Electrical

This picture shows an electrical circuit that is hot. The problem is the appliance was not on. Advised client to contact an electrician to make repairs.
